WIRELINE SYSTEM
In the navigation system via cable, the transmitter, fitted into the housing, has a wire which is placed into the rod, by which the probe receives the electrical power to be able to work. Thus, through this wire, the transmitter sends the data about the drilling head pitch to the receiver located in the rig.
In order to know the head position on the ground plan, the navigator (person in charge of steering the drilling "lance"), provided with a mobile equipment, moves along the path, establishing, for each brake (rod replacement) the location in the horizontal plan. From combining both information (pitch and situation on the ground plan) it is determined the exact position of the head.
The work rank of this equipment is superior to the electromagnetic waves equipments (with no wire), since it does not have a drilling time limitation and, as the power supply is external, it may send out with more potency; thus, it is possible to obtain higher depths lectures.
The theoretical limit of navigation depth for this equipment is 42m, decreasing on the basis of the soil characteristics, and its capacity to minimize the waves sent out by the remote display.
