At Catalana de Perforacions, S.A., we are growing and innovating. We are a pioneer in Horizontal Directional Drilling and Vertical Drilling, with a growing presence in Europe, headquartered in Spain and a branch in Germany.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, proactive and responsible person to join our team as a Driller for Horizontal Directional Drilling projects.
What would your day-to-day life be like?
- Operate and supervise horizontal directional drilling machinery in accordance with project parameters and specifications
- Interpret plans and layouts to define drilling routes, locating exit and entry points
- Assemble, perform basic maintenance and daily checks on equipment and accessories
- Coordinate with the assistant and the rest of the team to execute the drilling, reaming and pipe installation phase, according to customer requirements
- Monitor trajectories and depth using location equipment and electrical sensors
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality protocols
- Report to the PROJECT MANAGERS on performance, incidents and technical deviations
What do we expect from you?
- CFGM or equivalent, preferably heavy machinery technician, construction or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a PHD driller
- Knowledge of Vermeer, Ditch Witch, Herrenknecht and/or similar machinery
- Ability to read technical plans and master location techniques (detection radii, probes, etc.)
- Technical knowledge of the terrain and possible behaviour during drilling
- Technical knowledge of hydraulics and basic mechanics
- Reading of plans and topographical layouts
- Preventive maintenance of PHD equipment
- Driving licence B. A C or C+E licence would be an advantage
- Availability to travel
