Trenchless technology

Trenchless technology, the main utility installation solution

Catalana de Perforacions presents this innovative horizontal trenchless drilling technique, Horizontal Hammer Boring, to the Spanish market as the main solution for the installation of trenchless services.

Trenchless Horizontal Hammer Boring (HHB) technology is an innovative technique developed by GEONEX.

Designed for drilling in all ground types, HHB technology is the perfect solution for the installation of underground utilities in the most difficult ground conditions and with all types of geological formations.

As part of an innovative, fast and slick process, HHB trenchless horizontal drilling technology allows the ground to be drilled using a helical drill thanks to its drive system. This system is known for its ability to maintain the planned path, even in heterogeneous terrain, where conditions may vary.

Drilling characteristics

The HHB technique allows the installation of steel and plastic pipes made of polypropylene and polyethylene:

LENGTH:
– Minimum lengths: 10m
– Maximum lengths: 100m

DIAMETER:
– Minimum diameter: 139.70mm
– Maximum diameter: 1.200mm

PRECISION:
High accuracy depending on the ground to be drilled and the length of pipe to be installed.

Uses

  • Installation of primary services: electricity, gas, water, telecommunications.
  • Installation of sewers
  • Crossing of railways, rivers, roads…

Advantages of the HHB technique:

  • EFFICIENT AND INNOVATIVE

System capable of drilling any type of terrain and geology and avoiding over-drilling.

  • EASY INSTALLATION

Designed for metal pipes (steel) up to 100-150 metres and plastic (polypropylene) up to 60 metres.

  • DRILLING ACCURACY

Allows constant slopes to be drilled.
