Catalana de Perforacions approve the Equality Plan

Catalana de Perforacions will end the year with the approval of the Equality Plan.

Catalana de Perforacions has established an equality plan aimed at ensuring equality between men and women in the company, preventing discriminatory acts and promoting fair treatment for the entire workforce.

WHAT IS AN EQUALITY PLAN?

An equality plan is, according to Royal Decree 301/2020, of October 13, which regulates equality plans and their registration, and amends Royal Decree 713/2010, of May 28, on the registration and deposit of collective agreements and accords of workers, a set of measures and actions designed to ensure equality between men and women in the workplace, with the objective of offering the same treatment and opportunities. The equality plan is mandatory for companies in many countries, especially in those where labor legislation promotes gender equality, such as in the European Union.

The process of creating plan includes several stages: diagnosis of the current situation in the company, definition of objectives, planning and implementation of specific measures, and, above all, evaluation of the results achieved.

WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF CATALANA DE PERFORACIONS’ EQUALITY PLAN?

Catalana de Perforacions plan includes a series of policies, protocols, and actions for its implementation, such as:

  • Integrating the gender perspective into the company’s management, policies, procedures, and actions across different areas/departments.
  • Promoting and increasing the presence of men and women in areas or departments where there is low representation.
  • Encouraging internal and external selection processes that take into account the supply and demand of the labor market.
  • Ensuring and guaranteeing a work environment free of sexual harassment or harassment based on gender.
  • Establishing and implementing a compensation system based on performance, respecting the principles of objectivity, fairness, and non-discrimination.
  • Facilitating the balance between personal, family, and work life for employees at Catalana de Perforacions and promoting shared responsibility between men and women.
  • Promoting a commitment to equal opportunities both internally and externally, and encouraging the use of inclusive language among the workforce to avoid perpetuating gender stereotypes.

 

In this way, Catalana de Perforacions is committed to implementing and enforcing the Equality Plan, with the goal of fostering a respectful and equitable team for both men and women.
